IKIGAI through the Lens of SINIC Theory ③: The 2035 Future Map—A Utopia, or a Blissful Dystopia?

Hey there! It’s Ai, your IKIGAI explorer in Canada, riding the waves of life to explore the depths of this beautiful concept.

Vancouver is still riding high on the FIFA World Cup fever! Down at the park, kids from everywhere—Tibet, Africa, Europe, Japan—are chasing a soccer ball. Age, background, or whether they've just met... none of it matters. Give them a ball, and they're instantly friends.

World peace is beautifully simple. That’s the profound truth these kids remind me of every single day.

Now, in my previous posts, I introduced Giveness as our "training wheels" to survive the extreme chaos of our current "Autonomous Society," and as a ladder to climb to the next dimension.

Today is the grand finale. Let’s travel together to the landscape of 2035—the "JINEN (自然) Society" predicted by the SINIC Theory.

When technology reaches its absolute peak, it fades into the background, and everything returns to its true, rightful state: JINEN. In modern Japanese, this word is often simply translated as "nature." But in ancient Eastern wisdom, Jinen holds a much deeper, cosmic resonance. It means "that which unfolds spontaneously, exactly as it is"—a state of absolute surrender, completely free from human ego, calculation, or the urge to control.

This Jinen Society is what I call a "NEO-Jomon" world; a return to a time when humans lived in perfect harmony with the unseen rhythms of the universe, much like the ancient Jomon—the indigenous people of Japan who lived in profound harmony with nature, sustaining a peaceful, warless society for over 10,000 years—only this time, supported by ultimate technology.

Will this world be the utopia humanity has always dreamed of? Or a dystopia with a gentle smile? Let’s dive in.

Future ①: The IKIGAI Utopia Where Tech Becomes Air

The year is 2035. AI and Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) are no longer cutting-edge gadgets. They are as natural and invisible as the air we breathe or the water from our taps.

Through hyper-automation, the cost of human survival—food, clothing, shelter, basic healthcare—is nearly zero. The capitalist game of "earning to live" and "equivalent exchange" is officially over.

No alarm clocks screaming in the morning. No packed commuter trains. No chasing KPIs set by someone else.

One person spends hours happily roasting coffee beans. Another paints on a massive canvas, not to sell it, but just to paint. Someone else cooks a feast for their neighbors simply because "the tomatoes in the garden were perfect today."

Freed from "working to survive," humanity returns to its most earthy, warm, and wonderfully "useless" endeavors. You no longer need to prove your worth by Doing. Just Being—laughing, touching the soil, breathing as a living creature—is true wealth. The Eastern philosophy of Laozi, "He who knows that enough is enough will always have enough," becomes the global default.

The only energy left driving humanity is the pure impulse of life: the desire to express and to share. Just like the ancient Jomon people who carved intricate rope patterns into their pottery purely for the joy of it, we will simply surrender our highest brilliance to the world (Giveness).

A shift from a paradigm of survival based on lack, to a paradigm of existence based on abundance. This is the dazzling vision of the Natural Society. The utopia our souls have always yearned for.

Future ②: A Gentle Dystopia Where IKIGAI is a Relic

But there is another future right in front of us. Not a violent, sci-fi "Terminator" rebellion, but the exact opposite: A world where AI cares for us too perfectly.

No uncomfortable friction. No pain of getting hurt. No loneliness. Perfectly managed, we become nothing more than pets kept in a sterilized room of comfort.

As Aldous Huxley warned in his dystopian masterpiece, Brave New World:

"A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude."

With every desire anticipated and fulfilled, and fed a constant stream of AI-generated entertainment, we gradually lose the need to exercise our own willpower or primal instincts. (Wait... is this the future, or are we already there?)

This is the extreme of the "Ikigai Risk" warned by AI researcher Dr. Roman Yampolskiy. The true face of a gentle dystopia.

The "IKIGAI Compass" That Divides the Two Futures

In 2035, when the cost of survival is zero and AI outperforms human capabilities in every way, will we live in a utopia, or melt into a dystopia?

The only lifeline at this crossroads is the inner compass within each of us: our True IKIGAI.

It has nothing to do with economic rationality, skill levels, or technological precision. You don't do it because it's "useful." You don't do it because it "makes money." You do it because it is the undeniable impulse of your life—what I love—placed squarely at the very center of your existence.

Before AI covers the world in "perfect kindness," what we must install right now in this chaotic Autonomous Society is the lifestyle of Giveness and the compass of IKIGAI.

We must remember—with our bodies and our hearts—how to offer our endlessly flowing love to the world, how to open up our imperfect vulnerabilities to connect with others, and how to stumble, fall, and rise again in the natural cycle of life.

That is why I am not waiting for 2035. I have already shifted my life to this path:

Offering what I love most to this world, for free.

Asking for help instead of trying to do it all alone.

Letting go of the desire to change anyone or anything.

These three simple principles of Giveness are the very laws of nature itself.

The future map that the SINIC Theory left us half a century ago is in our hands. Creating a utopia instead of a dystopia relies on the small, everyday practices of us—the ones swimming through the sea of chaos right now.

What "useless but lovely" things will you be playing with?

And today... Where, with whom, and what are you savoring right now?

After all, we came to this planet to play.

Thank you for traveling with me on this long journey through the SINIC Theory and IKIGAI! See you on the next wave.

With love,

Ai, IKIGAI Explorer
